Day 1  :  Lemosho Glades (2,385m) to Big Tree Camp (2,780m)


After breakfast and a briefing from your guide, you'll be driven from your hotel in Moshi to Lemosho Gate. Once there, you'll complete the necessary registration processes before starting your climb. Today's hike takes you steadily through the beautiful forests of the Lemosho Glades until you reach Big Tree Camp, where you'll spend the night. Enjoy hot water for washing up, followed by cups of tea or coffee and popcorn as you wait for your first dinner on Kilimanjaro.

    Day 2  :  Big Tree Camp (2,780m) to Shira 1 Camp (3,900m)


    After breakfast, leave Big Tree Camp and continue your ascent towards Shira 1 Camp. The trail will take you through rainforests and into the savannah, where tall grasses and volcanic rock await. Keep an eye out for stunning views of Kibo Peak floating among the clouds. Today's hike involves gaining some altitude and includes steep sections.

    Day 3  :  Shira 1 Camp (3,500m) to Shira 2 Camp (3,960m)


    Today, you'll depart from Shira 1 Camp and hike towards Shira 2 Camp. The journey will take you across moorland and heathland, offering magnificent views of the unique flora and Mount Meru (the fifth summit of Africa) if weather conditions allow. Upon reaching Shira 2 Camp, enjoy lunch and embark on a two-hour acclimatization hike towards Lava Tower Camp, gaining an additional 200 meters in altitude

    Day 4  :  Shira 2 Camp (3,900m) to Barranco Camp (3,960m)


    Begin your hike with an ascent through panoramic landscapes, walking in the climatic zone of the upland desert and along lava ridges beneath the Western Breach glaciers. The day's highlight is reaching the distinct pinnacle of the Lava Tower (4,640m), where you'll have lunch and take in the stunning surroundings. Afterward, make a steep descent to Barranco Camp, nestled in the base of the Great Barranco Valley. From camp, you'll have extensive views of the plains below.

    Day 5  :  Barranco Valley Camp to Karanga Camp (3,963m)


    On this day, wake up early and tackle the famous Barranco Wall, known as the "Breakfast Wall." The climb is not technically difficult but requires endurance. After conquering the wall, rest and capture memorable photos with the majestic Kibo volcano as your backdrop. Then continue on a more challenging hike to Karanga Camp, which features several ascents and descents. Upon arrival, enjoy a warm lunch, followed by an acclimatization hike toward Barafu Camp and back to Karanga Camp.

    Day 6  :  Karanga Camp (3,963m) to Barafu Camp (4,640m)


    After breakfast, begin your journey to Barafu Summit Camp, the starting point for your night summit to Uhuru Peak. The hike takes you across desolate scree slopes without vegetation, and it becomes progressively steeper. Once at Barafu Camp, rest and prepare for the final challenge. Complete an acclimatization hike toward Kosovo Summit Camp (4,800m) before returning to Barafu Camp for a hot dinner. Spend the rest of the day resting and sleeping before the night summit.

    Day 7  :  Barafu Camp (4,640m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) to Mweka Camp (3,100m)


    Begin the summit attempt around midnight, ascending steeply towards the summit glaciers. The climb involves walking on scree for 4 to 5 hours, gaining incredible altitude in a short distance. Reach Stella Point (5,739m) on the crater rim, where you can enjoy the sunrise and breathtaking views. Continue for approximately an hour to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Afterward, descend to Stella Point, then further down to Barafu Camp for breakfast. From there, continue the descent to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
